Top Ten Films This Summer

Wdnesday 09th March 2011.


If you fancy getting out this summer and watching the latest films, here is a list of the ten predicted most popular movies this summer....




1) Rango
                                
                                              















This comedy is scheduled to be released on "March 18th 2011", it's an animation starring Johnny Depp as a pet lizard who runs away from home in search of his true self and to find out if he can be more than just a pet lizard, Gore Verbinski is said to be directing this hillarious adventure and other voices that will be acompanying Depp will be actors such as Ray Winston, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and Alfred Molina.



2) Spiderman 4














James Vanderbilt has been asked to script up the next in the series of our favourite web slinger, it should be due for release by "May 31st 2011" but could be delayed until "July 2011" as there is not too much information as yet, there are rumours said to be that this film may the first in a two part sequel and apparently titled "A Series Of Events Part 1" there is talk that the next set of villains will be some good ones including possible nemesis "Scorpion"  and it is also at present unclear whether Toby Maguire will be in the cast for the follow up i the Spiderman franchise.



3) Kung Fu Panda 2














As the big hit was very profitable for it's animators in 2008, Dreamworks have decided to release a sequel, scheduled for release "June 2011", it has been said that both Jack Black and Angelina Jolie have shown great commitment aswel as excitement for the sequel.



4) Cars 2
















On "June 24th 2011" Lightning and Mater head overseas for a new, full action packed adventure.
It's the world championships and the pair find themselves becoming the bond of cars and enrolling as special agents to help save the races, this is a must see this summer!



5) Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II




This is a must see this summer as the amazing first half of an epic 2 part finale ended on a cliff hanger, the second half is set to be a good one. Whether or not you have read the final book, this is definately one film to keep an eye out for!
Scheduled for release on "July 15th 2011" Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint return for there last adventure at Hogwarts.



6) The First Avenger: Captain America






As this film is an introduction to what will be the release of  "The Avengers" a few months after our hero is born on "May 6th 2011", this film tags on to an ordinary soldier from World War II who is injected with a super soldier formula which enhances his abilities to become an awesome fighter, therefore making his decision to take on the Germans as the hero "Captain America".
When he meets his match by a block of ice it seems to be the end for our hero, but decades later he is thawed out not to defeat the Germans but a band of super villains as one of the super hero members of "The Avengers".
With Joe Johnston directing and Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury.



7) The Avengers





Currently scheduled for "July 2011" although it could be pushed back to early 2012, Marvel heroes such as Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Ant Man and rumour has it, The Wasp join forces to become the super team "The Avengers"
With stars such as Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson



8) Transformers 3

 



 

Well the first two were awesome films and now here's the Third in the series of those transformimg alien robots, with the same cast as usual there is said to be some more robots to be introduced. This Film was scheduled for the last week in June but is now to be released at the start of  "July 2011"



9) Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides





Aswel as starring in the film "Rango" , Johnny Depp has agreed to keep his role as "Captain Jack Sparrow" in the fourth out of a possible six Pirates Of The Caribbean films.
Unfortunately, due to William Turner and Elizabeth Swann's story being wrapped up in the third film, their actors, "Orlando Bloom" and "Keira Knightley" are not set to return to this one although there will be some new faces popping up.
The film is due out on "May 20th 2011" where Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) sets out to find "The Fountain Of Youth" when his journey's path is crossd by a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), not sure if she is a past love or a woman out to con him into getting to the fountain.
Captain Jack's adventure is a bit of a diverted one when the woman forces him onto the ship of infamous Captain "Blackbeard" played by (Ian McShane), now on an unexpected new adventure, Jack doesn't know who to fear more, the woman from his past or his new host Blackbeard.



10) The Hangover 2




 It's Stu's wedding (Ed Helms) and this time the film is based in Thailand, after the last adventure in Las Vegas, accompanied by his friends Phil (Bradley Cooper), Doug (Justin Bartha) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Stu decides he wants a quiet pre-wedding brunch to stay on the safe side but does it go as planned?
This film is said to be a great hit for the summer as due to be released on "May 26th 2011".




There will be loads more releases running up and through this summer but these are ten that are sure to be mentioned.
